Cowboys Sixth-Round Pick LB DeVonte Holloman’s Career Likely Over

Cowboys HC Jason Garrett told reporters on Thursday that LB DeVonte Holloman‘s career is likely over due to a neck injury, per Pat Doney.

There was some early talk that Holloman could be given an opportunity to be the team’s starting middle linebacker this year after they lost Sean Lee for the season.

However, recent reports mentioned that the team was concerned about his neck injury. Although, there was no mention at the time of it possibly being career ending.

Dallas used their 2013 sixth-round pick on Holloman who was coming out of South Carolina. He appeared in nine games for the Cowboys and recorded 26 tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery as a rookie.

We’ll have more updates as the news is available.
