Cowboys Tender Offer To ERFA DT David Irving

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys tendered a contract to exclusive rights free agent DT David Irving.

Irving’s exclusive rights tender will end up being a one-year contract worth $615,000 for the 2017 season.

Irving, 23, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in 2015. He was waived at the start of the regular season and later added to the Chiefs’ practice squad.

Just a few weeks into the 2015 season, the Cowboys signed him to their active roster and he’s been with them ever since.

In 2016, Irving appeared in 15 games recorded 17 tackles, four sacks, a fumble recovery, four forced fumbles and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 29 interior defender out of 127 qualifying players.
