Cowboys To Draft S Mark Barron?

CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys are “heavily leaning” towards drafting Alabama safety Mark Barron with the fourteenth overall pick of the NFL Draft.

The Cowboys already have a few safeties on their roster, including Gerald Sensabaugh who they locked up to a five-year, $22.5 million contract in December, and former Cleveland Brown and New York Jet, Brodney Pool, who they signed on March 15.

Barron is the cream of the crop in a relatively weak safety class this year, and has been projected by many to be drafted in the first round. Whether he will fall to the Cowboys remains to be seen; Memphis DT Dontari Poe has also been rumored to be at the top of their draft board.
