Brandon George reports that the Cowboys have placed LB Mark Nzeocha on waivers Sunday to make room for LB Jayrone Elliott, who was acquired in a trade with the Packers.
Nzeocha, 27, is a former seventh-round pick out of Wyoming by the Cowboys in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was entering the third year of a four-year, $2,344,348 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $615,000 this season.
In 2016, Nzeocha was active for six games and recorded three total tackles.
