Cowboys Waive S Darian Thompson, Promote DT Christian Ringo

The Dallas Cowboys have placed S Darian Thompson on waivers Saturday and promoted DT Christian Ringo to their active roster, according to Todd Archer.

Thompson, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.45 million contract and set to make base salaries of $705,000 and $805,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Giants waived Thompson with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New York waived him with an injury settlement soon after.

Thompson signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad last month before the Cowboys added him to their active roster.
