Darrell Bevell To Meet With Jaguars & Falcons Regarding Offensive Coordinator Jobs

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Darrell Bevell is scheduled to meet with the Falcons and Jaguars regarding their offensive coordinator vacancies in the coming days.

Rumors have been circulating for weeks now that Bevell is the guy to watch for the Falcons, but they also plan to meet with Dirk Koetter.

This is the first reported interview for the Jaguars’ coordinator job.

Bevell, 49, began his NFL coaching career with the Packers as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He eventually worked his way up to QBs coach before being hired by the Vikings as their offensive coordinator in 2006.

After five years in Minnesota, Bevell signed on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season and spent the past seven years in Seattle before he was fired last year.

In 2017, the Seahawks’ offense was No. 15 in total yards, No. 11 in points scored, No. 23 in yards rushing and No. 14 in passing offense.
