ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that Lions doctors “don’t want to be responsible for” RB Jahvid Best, which is why he has yet to be cleared.
Best, 23, has been dealing with post-concussion syndrome for some time now, but the Lions will have to decide whether or not to active him or place him on season-ending injured reserve.
Best reportedly “feels great,” but there’s no question that there are concerns about him playing football again. Schefter adds that there are some who wonder if Best has already played his last down in the NFL.
