ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Dolphins C Mike Pouncey has a small fracture in his hip and is scheduled to undergo a CT scan this week.
- Schefter adds that Pouncey could miss another week or two.
Pouncey underwent hip surgery during the offseason on his right hip, so this was obviously a concern for the Dolphins. The good news, of course, is that it won’t cost him all that much time.
Pouncey, 27, is in the second year of his six-year, $52.438 million contract that includes $22 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $9 million in 2016.
In 2015, Pouncey appeared in 14 games and recorded Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 7 center out of 41 qualifying players.
We’ll have more regarding Pouncey’s status as the news is available.
