Dolphins Claim RB Salvon Ahmed Off Waivers From 49ers

The Miami Dolphins officially claimed RB Salvon Ahmed off of waivers from the 49ers on Wednesday.

Ahmed, 21, was a one-year starter at Washington and an honorable mention All-Pac 12 selection in 2019. He signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in May before being released during camp.

San Francisco waived Ahmed on Tuesday. 

During his three-year college career at Washington, Ahmed rushed for 2,016 yards on 353 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 50 receptions for 331 yards receiving and 21 total touchdowns over the course of 39 games. He also totaled 500 kick return yards.
