According to Cameron Wolfe, the Dolphins have declined to pick up the 2020 option for C Daniel Kilgore, making him a free agent.
Kilgore was Miami’s starting center for 13 games in the 2019 season.
Kilgore, 32, is a former fifth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He spent the first seven years of his NFL career in San Francisco and was set to enter unrestricted free agency when he signed a three-year extension worth nearly $12 million, including $7 million guaranteed, in February 2018.
However, the 49ers traded Kilgore to the Dolphins a month after signing him to the deal in order to move up a few spots in the seventh round.
In 2019, Kilgore started 13 games for the Dolphins at center. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 21 center out of 39 qualifying players.
