Dolphins Hiring Dowell Loggains As Offensive Coordinator

Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins are naming Dowell Loggains as their new offensive coordinator.

Yesterday, Mike Garafolo reported that Loggains, now formerly of the Bears, traveled to Miami to speak with the Dolphins. Miami was clearly impressed enough to quickly sign him to a contract.

Loggains, 37, began his NFL coaching career with the Titans as an offensive quality control coordinator back in 2008. He managed to work his way up to offensive coordinator before joining the Browns’ coaching staff in 2014.

After one year with the Browns, Loggains was hired as the Bears QBs coach and eventually promoted to offensive coordinator two years ago.
