Dolphins Sign CB Zack Bowman

Update:

The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of CB Zack Bowman on Monday.

———-

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the Miami Dolphins are hosting free agent CB Zack Bowman for a visit on Monday.

This is the first reported interest in Bowman since free agency got under way over a month ago.

Recent reports have said that the Dolphins are clearly in the market for cornerback help, so we’ll have to see if they are just kicking the tires on Bowman.

Bowman, 30, is a former fifth round pick of the Bears back in 2008. He briefly played for the Vikings before returning to the Bears as an unrestricted free agent in 2012. The Giants later signed him to a contract in March of last year.

In 2014, Bowman appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and recorded 24 tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 73 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.
