Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports that the Miami Dolphins and P Brandon Fields agree to a four-year contract extension worth “slightly more than $13 million,” with $3.3 million guaranteed.
Fields contract was due to expire after the coming season.ย Now Fields is the fifth highest paid punter in the league, which is deserved since Fields holds “three of the best four individual punting seasons in Dolphins history.”
It could be possible that the Dolphins are attempting to get a head start to next years long list of key free agent contracts they need to address.
