Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill Unlikely To Return In Week 8

According to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe, Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill faces an “uphill challenge” and is unlikely to play in Week 8’s game against the Texans next Thursday.

Miami officially ruled Tannehill out for this week’s game on Wednesday and plans to start Brock Osweiler in his place.

Tannehill was surprisingly ruled out last week and it appears as though his shoulder injury is serious enough to keep him sidelined through at least next week.

Tannehill, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He’s currently in the third year of his six-year, $95.272 million contract that includes $45 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $17.47 million and $18.725 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Tannehill has appeared in five games for the Dolphins and thrown for 972 yards while completing 65.9 percent of his passes to go along with eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Tannehill as the news is available.
