Dolphins Release DT Gerald Willis From PS, Sign DT Jamiyus Pittman

The Miami Dolphins have released DT Gerald Willis from their practice squad on Wednesday and signed DT Jamiyus Pittman to the unit.

Hereโ€™s the Dolphins updated practice squad:

  2. DT Durval Queiroz (International)
  3. C Nik Needham
  4. DE Dewayne Hendrix
  5. WR Isaiah Ford
  6. LB Christian Sam
  7. LB Terrill Hanks
  8. DB Montre Hartage
  9. TE Chris Myarick
  10. OT Zach Sterup
  11. DT Jamiyus Pittman

Willis, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Miami back in May. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Ravens. 

However, Baltimore waived Willis coming out of the preseason and he later signed on to the Dolphins’ practice squad.

During his college career at Florida and Miami, Willis recorded 33 tackles, six tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses over the course of two seasons and 14 games.
