Rudock managed to make the 53-man roster in 2017 and returned to the Lions on an exclusive rights free agent the following year. He spent the 2018 season the Lions practice squad before joining the Dolphins on a futures contract last January.
Miami added Rudock to the taxi squad at the start of the regular season. The Dolphins brought him back on a futures contract this past January and he was waived coming out of camp and later re-signed to the practice squad.
In 2017, Rudock appeared in three games for the Lions and completed three of five pass attempts for 24 yards and an interception.
