Dolphins Rule Out Ryan Tannehill For Week 9, Starting Brock Osweiler

On Wednesday, Dolphins HC Adam Gase announced that QB Ryan Tannehill will miss Week 9’s game and they will once again start Brock Osweiler against the Jets.

Gase mentioned that Tannehill has been throwing with trainers and surgery has not been brought to him as a potential option for Tannehill’s shoulder injury.

Tannehill, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He’s currently in the third year of his six-year, $95.272 million contract that includes $45 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $17.47 million and $18.725 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Tannehill has appeared in five games for the Dolphins and thrown for 972 yards while completing 65.9 percent of his passes to go along with eight touchdowns and five interceptions.
