Dolphins Sign TE Brett Brackett, QB Seth Lobato & DE D’Aundre Reed, Waive Three

The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of TE Brett Brackett, QB Seth Lobato and DE D’Aundre Reed on Tuesday.

In order to make room for the three players, the Dolphins placed QB Brock Jensen, LB Derrell Johnson and G Davonte Wallace on waivers.

Brackett, 26, actually signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2011, but was later waived from the team’s practice squad in September. He has since had brief stints with the Jaguars, Eagles and Cardinals.

Lobato, 23, is another undrafted rookie who landed with the Colts in early May. At Northern Colorado he threw for 8,090 yards while completing 56.6 percent of his passes to go along with 53 touchdowns and 34 interceptions.

Reed, 26, was drafted in the seventh round by the Vikings during the 2011 season. He has also played for the 49ers, Jaguars and the Los Angeles KISS of the arena league.

He appeared in six games for the Vikings but hasn’t registered a single tackle.
