Dolphins Sign Three Players Including RB Mark Walton, Cut Two

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve signed three tryout players to contracts on Sunday including C Kirk Barron, CB Jamar Summers and RB Mark Walton

The Dolphins also waived C Connor Hilland and S Rob Rolle with injury designations.

Walton was arrested three times in less than three months, which ultimately led to his release.

David Ovalle of the Miami Herald reported in April that Walton was arrested and is facing charges of carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession and reckless driving stemming from a high-speed car chase.

Miami-Dade police officers attempted to pull Walton over because he was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. One officer ordered Walton to get on the ground as he was getting out of the vehicle and after he fell to the ground, Walton “sprang to his feet” and ran off. Walton was shot in the back with a Taser gun, but he dislodged the electrified prongs, ran off and vanished.

Officers searched the car and found 14 grams of marijuana, a 9 mm carbine rifle, and several fully loaded clips.

Walton was already facing two earlier criminal cases before the latest incident.

Walton, 21, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2018. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $3,145,348 and was set to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season when the Bengals cut him.

In 2018, Walton appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and rushed for 34 yards while catching five passes for 41 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
