Dolphins Sign QB Zac Dysert & TE Dominique Jones To Futures Deals

The Miami Dolphins officially signed QB Zac Dysert and TE Dominique Jones to future/reserve contracts on Tuesday.

The Dolphins have signed a number of players to future’s contracts including:

  1. NT Charles Tuaau
  2. DB Damarr Aultman
  3. WR Tyler Davis 
  4. RB Jahwan Edwards
  5. WR Robert Herron
  6. LB Terrell Manning
  7. G Vinston Painter
  8. G Anthony Steen
  9. DB Dax Swanson
  10. DE Julius Warmsley
  11. DE Jordan Williams

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Dysert, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He was placed on waivers by the Broncos at the start of the 2014 season, but they later added him to their practice squad.

The Bears claimed Dysert off of waivers a few days before the start of the season, but he was among their final roster cuts. After that, Dysert returned to the Texans, but was on and off of their practice squad before later signing on to the Bills’ practice squad close to a month ago.

Dysert has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.
