Dolphins Tried Out Three DBs

The Miami Dolphins brought in three free agents for tryouts on Wednesday including S Chris Lammons, CB Reggie Porter, and CB Arrion Springs, according to Howard Balzer.

Of this group, the Dolphins signed Porter to their practice squad.

Springs, 23, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with Kansas City and was set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season when he was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Chiefs later signed him to their practice squad but released him a few weeks later. He has had brief stints on the Saints, Raiders and Browns’ practice squads this season.

During his four-year college career at Oregon, Springs recorded 137 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a recovery and 42 pass defenses.
