Dolphins Worked Out LB Zaviar Gooden

According to Aaron Wilson, the Dolphins worked out free agent LB Zaviar Gooden on Tuesday.

Gooden, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Titans back in 2013. He had two years remaining on his four-year, $2.681 million rookie contract that included a $506,016 signing bonus when the Titans released him.

Gooden, unfortunately, sustained a torn hamstring that led to him being placed on injured reserve at the start of the 2016 season. The Lions brought him back shortly after last year’s draft only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

He was on and off of the Lions’ practice squad before he was waived and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad. Arizona eventually decided to promote him to their active roster.

In 2016, Gooden appeared in eight games for the Cardinals and recorded seven total tackles and no sacks.
