Draft Notes: Brett Hundley, Eagles, Lions, Panthers, & Ravens

Brett Hundley

  • Ian Rapoport reports that UCLA QB Brett Hundley will throw at the Combine and participate in all of the drills.

Eagles

  • Mike Mayock offered some potential targets for the Eagles at No. 20 overall including Alabama S Landon Collins, Washington’s Shaq Thompson (at safety), LSU CB Jalen Collins, and possibly Washington CB Marcus Peters.

Lions

  • Mike Mayock said he could see the Lions targeting a defensive tackle in round one and specifically mentioned Iowa’s Carl Davis.
  • In the second round, Mayock could see Detroit grabbing an offensive lineman such as Duke’s Laken Tomlinson, South Carolina’s A.J. Cann, Louisville’s John Miller, and Florida State’s Cam Irving.
  • Depending on what happens with Reggie Bush, Mayock see them taking a running back such Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah or Miami’s Duke Johnson.

Panthers

  • The Panthers could address a number of positions in round including wide receiver, linebacker, safety and defensive line, according to Mike Mayock.
  • Mayock suggests Shaq Thompson and Landon Collins for safety, Jordan Phillips and Arik Armstead as defensive line options and receivers such as Devin Smith or Philip Dorsett.

Ravens

  • According to Mike Mayock, targeting a receiver, cornerback and edge rusher all make sense for the Ravens in round one.
  • Mayock still expects them to go with the best available player and mentioned Florida State DB P.J. Williams, RBs Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley, and Minnesota TE Maxx Williams as potential first-round targets.
  • As for the middle rounds, Mayock could see Baltimore considering Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Miami (OH)’s Quinten Rollins and Utah’s Eric Rowe.
