The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they’ve promoted CB Craig James to their active roster and waived WR Greg Ward.
James, 23, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois back in May of last year. He was waived with an injury designation during final roster cuts with an injury designation.
Minnesota cut him with an injury settlement before re-signing him to their practice squad in and eventually calling him up later on in the season. He was among the Vikings’ final roster cuts at the end of this preseason but signed with the Eagles’ practice squad a few days later.
The Eagles promoted him to their active roster for Week 2 but waived him soon after and later re-signed to their practice squad.
In 2019, James appeared in one game but has yet to record a statistic.
