The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have sent G Nate Menkin to the Houston Texans in return for WR Jeff Maehl.
Maehl, 24, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent back in 2011. The move makes some sense when you consider that Maehl spent time with Eagles HC Chip Kelly while at Oregon and the fact that they have already lost a few receivers for the season.
Menkin also went undrafted free agent out of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He didn’t appear in a single game for the Eagles last year and was later placed on injured reserve with a throat injury.
