Edgar Bennett Out As Packers’ OC, Alex Van Pelt Out As QBs Coach

Rob Demovsky and Chris Mortensen are reporting that Edgar Bennett is out as the Packer’ offensive coordinator and Alex Van Pelt is out as team’s QBs coach.

Van Pelt’s contract is up with Green Bay, so it sounds like they just won’t be re-signing him. However, Jason Wilde mentions that it’s possible the Packers could Bennett to another position.

A speculative option for Bennett is to move him back to WRs coach where he was for a few years before being promoted to offensive coordinator.

Tom Silverstein mentions that Ben McAdoo is someone to watch for the Packers’ coaching staff.

The Packers continue to undergo major changes in recent days and there was talk that a coaching shakeup could be coming to their offensive staff along with the defensive coaching changes they’ve already made.

We’ll have more regarding potential coaching targets for the Packers as the news is available.
