Falcons Place DE Steven Means On COVID-19 List

The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they’ve placed Falcons DE Steven Means placed on the COVID-19 list.

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Means is one of only two players on the COVID-19 list at this point in time.

Means, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Tampa Bay before catching on with the Ravens during the 2014 season.

Means had a brief stint with the Texans before the Eagles signed him to their active roster towards the end of the 2015 season. Unfortunately, Philadephia elected to cut Means loose coming out of the preseason in 2018 and he caught on with the Falcons a week later.

Atlanta brought Means back on a one-year contract last year before once again re-signing him to a one-year deal this past March.

In 2018, Means appeared in eight games for the Falcons and recorded 14 tackles and a sack.
