Falcons Re-Sign RFA G Ben Garland

The Atlanta Falcons officially re-signed restricted free agent G Ben Garland to a one-year restricted tender worth $2,914,000 for the 2018 season.

The listed the move with a “No offer sheet executed” designation, but this just means that Garland did not receive an offer sheet from another team.

Garland, 29, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Air Force back in 2010. He spent over five years in Denver before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.

The Falcons re-signed Garland to a one-year exclusive rights contract the past two years before using a second-round tender on him this week.

In 2016, Garland was active for all 16 games for the Falcons and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 50 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
