Falcons Sign DE Malliciah Goodman, Cut DL Cliff Matthews & C Trevor Robinson

The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve signed DL Malliciah Goodman and promoted OL Kevin Graf to the active roster.

  • The Falcons also waived DL Cliff Matthews and C Trevor Robinson.

Goodman, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He spent three years in Atlanta before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Seahawks later signed him to a contract in October but he lasted just a week in Seattle before he was cut loose.

In 2016, Goodman has appeared in one game for the Seahawks but has yet to record a statistic.

Matthews, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2011. He had finished out his rookie contract last year when he signed a two-year extension with the Falcons.

However, Matthews was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Buccaneers elected to sign him to a future/reserve contract this past February, but he was later among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Falcons signed him to a contract back in October.

In 2016, Matthews has appeared in three games  but has yet to record a statistic.

Robinson,  26, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012. The Chargers later signed him off of the Bengals’ practice squad in October of 2014 after they sustained a number of offensive line injuries.

San Diego elected to re-sign Robinson to a two-year, $1.7 million contract in March of last year. However, the Chargers cut him loose back in July and it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that he signed on with the Falcons.

In 2015, Robinson appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers.
