The Atlanta Falcons announced that they’ve signed veteran KÂ Matt Bryant to a contract extension on Wednesday.
Bryant, 39, was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming weeks, but is coming off of a solid season for the Falcons, and probably accepted a reasonable contract to return to Atlanta.
He appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and converted 29 of 32 field goal attempts including 7 of 10 from 50 yards or more, and didn’t miss a single extra point.
Pro Football Focus has Bryant rated as the No. 8 kicker in the league this past season.
We’ll have the contract details as they’re available.
