The Atlanta Falcons have announced the signing of former Panthers S Charles Godfrey on Tuesday, per Adam Caplan.
- The Falcons released S Sean Baker to make room for Godfrey, according to Aaron Wilson.
Godfrey, 28, was released by the Panthers just a week ago, so it didn’t long for him find a new opportunity. The Falcons continue to deal with injuries on both sides of the ball, so move won’t hurt anything.
This year, Godfrey has recorded 19 tackles over the course of seven games. Pro Footbal Focus has him down for playing 212 snaps this season, but he also has a very poor rating in pass coverage.
