Falcons Place RB Evan Royster On Season-Ending I.R.

Update:

The Falcons officially placed RB Evan Royster on season-ending injured reserve Thursday after he passed through waivers unclaimed, according to the NFL transactions release.

The Atlanta Falcons have waived/injured RB Evan Royster to make room for QB Rex Grossman, according to Vaughn McClure.

The Falcons just signed Royster to a contract a few weeks ago, but they apparently wanted to add even more depth at the quarterback position to evaluate.

Royster, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2011. He spent three years in Washington before he was cut loose at start of the 2014 season.

Royster last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season.
