Veteran TEย Tony Scheffler tells Larry Lage of the Associated Press that he is retiring from the NFL due to concussions suffered over the course of his professional career.
According toย Scheffler, he has suffered threeย concussions in the past four years. Heย plans toย become a real estate agent and workย as anย assistant football coach at the high school in his hometown of Chelsea, Michigan.
Scheffler, 31, was a second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2006. He played eight season and totaledย 258 receptions for 3,207 yards receiving and 22 touchdowns over the course of 107 games.
