Former NFL RB Cedric Benson Dies In Motorcycle Accident

Former NFL RB Cedric Benson was one of two people who died in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning in Austin, Texas, according to Tony Plohetski.

Family and friends of Benson have reportedly confirmed the news.

Benson, 36, is a former first-round pick of the Bears back in 2005. He spent three years in Chicago before he was released and later signed by the Bengals.

Benson spent four years with the Bengals before finishing his final season as a member of the Packers.

For his career, Benson rushed for 6,017 yards on 1600 carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with 120 receptions for 833 yards receiving and 33 total touchdowns over the course of eight seasons and 96 games.
