Former Ravens S Matt Elam Arrested For Battery & Grand Theft

TMZ Sports is reporting that former Ravens Sย Matt Elamย was arrested Monday morning for grand theft and battery in Delray Beach, Florida this morning.

According to the report, Elamย was booked at 8:48 amย and is currently being held on $4,500 bond.

This is Elam’sย second arrest this yearย after he was previouslyย arrested for possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell or deliver, and possession of a controlled substance. severalย months.

Despite being a free agent, Elam has found no reported interest and it’s certainly possible his NFL career is over.

Elam, 25, was taken with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2013 draft. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $6.767 million rookie contractย that includedย $5.439 guaranteed.

The Ravens declined to pick up Elamโ€™sย fifth-year option that would have run them over $5.6 million in 2017.

Elamโ€™s 2015 season ended after he suffered aย torn biceps. However, Elam wound up being suspendedย one game without pay for violating the NFL substance abuseย policy.

In 2016, Elam appeared in nine games for the Ravens and recorded four total tackles.
