Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported earlier in the day that the Lions will also be hosting former Saints WR Robert Meachem during their Tuesday tryouts.
The Lions will take a look at free agent RB Ben Tate, RB Daniel Thomas, and WR/KR Brad Smith tomorrow.
Meachem, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2007. He spent the first four years of his career in New Orleans before departing in 2012 for a big-money contract with the Chargers.
However, Meachem lasted just one season in San Diego before he was released and later returned to the Saints in 2013.
Last year, Meachem appeared in 11 games for the Saints and recorded seven receptions for 114 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
We’ll have to see if the Lions elect to sign any of these players tomorrow.
