Free Agent OL Adam Gettis Working Out For Giants Tuesday

Update:

Josina Anderson reports that free agent OL Adam Gettis is scheduled to visit with and work out for the Giants on Tuesday.

Gettis was among a few offensive linemen to work out for the Packers on Sunday, but it appears as though Green Bay wasn’t ready to sign him to a contract.

Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that recently released OL Adam Gettis is visiting and working out for the Packers on Sunday.

Gettis was cut loose by the Redskins a few days ago, so it didn’t take long for him to find some interest, despite the fact that the free agent pool has increased considerably in the past few hours.

Green Bay could probably use another offensive lineman now that they have lost Don Barclay for the season.

Washington signed Gettis to a four-year, $2.3 million contract back in 2012. He was set to make a base salary of $570,000 for the upcoming season before he was released.

Last year, Gettis appeared in 13 games, but was limited to playing just 17 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
