Patriots’ impending free-agent S Nate Ebner said on Wednesday that he is hopeful to re-sign with New England this offseason.
“I mean, that would be the best thing, I think, when you consider my entire career has been here,” said Ebner, via Zach Cox of NESN. “I understand how things go. I’ve got some true friendships here. “I understand how things work — that would be great. But right now, it’s out of my hands, so we’ll see what happens and I’ll just take it as it goes. We’ll see.”
Ebner, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2012. He just finished a two-year, $5 million contract and is set to be an unrestricted free agent.
In 2019, Ebner appeared in 14 games and recorded seven total tackles and no interceptions.
