Free Agent WR Jeremy Maclin Expected To Begin Visiting With Teams Soon

Mike Garafolo reports that free agent WR Jeremy Maclin is close to being healthy after dealing with hamstring and glute injuries and should begin to take some visits and schedule tryouts with teams at some in point in the near future.

According to Garafolo, the Eagles have kept tabs on Maclin and knew he wasn’t healthy yet.

Maclin, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Eagles back in 2009. He spent five years with the Eagles before signing a five-year, $55 million contract that included $22.5 million guaranteed with the Chiefs in 2015.

After being released by the Chiefs, Maclin signed him to a two-year, $11 million contract with the Ravens last year. Unfortunately, Baltimore elected to release Maclin back in March in a move that created $5 million of available cap space.

In 2017, Maclin appeared in 12 games for the Ravens and caught 40 passes for 440 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 52 receiver out of 118 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
