Giants Hosting Veteran CB Leon Hall For A Visit

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Giants are bringing in free agent CB Leon Hall for a visit on Tuesday.

This is interesting, considering that they just used their first-round pick on Eli Apple and signed Janoris Jenkins to a huge contract in free agency. However, Garafolo adds that Giants GM Jerry Reese has talked about the need for depth at cornerback, even after their recent additions.

Hall has been linked to the Cardinals, Cowboys and Dolphins since free agency opened, but it’s hard to say that any of these teams are eventual landing spots.

Hall, 31, is former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2007. He has spent all nine years of his NFL career with the Bengals and is now among the best available cornerbacks in this year’s market.

In 2015, Hall appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, and nine pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
