Giants Met With Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins Tuesday Night

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Giants had dinner with Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins last night ahead of his Pro Day.

According to Garafolo, all of the Giants’ brass including HC Pat Shurmur, QBs coach Mike Shula, and assistant GM Kevin Abrams.

Garafolo says the Giants have “at least a passing interest” in Haskins and met with him separately, despite having had dinner with him.

It remains to be seen whether the Giants will finally draft a successor to Eli Manning, but they’re at least in a decent enough position at No. 6 overall to strongly consider some of this year’s quarterback prospects like Haskins. 

There has been talk in recent days that Haskins could be in line for a bit of a fall in round one, but it’s hard to know what to believe at this time of year. 

Haskins is one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class and could end up being a top-6 pick when all is said and done.

During his college career, Haskins has thrown for 5,145 yards while completing 70.2 percent of his passes to go along with 51 touchdowns and nine interceptions over the course of two seasons and 21 games. He has also rushed for 208 yards and four touchdowns.
