Giants Promoting OL Adam Gettis To Active Roster

According to Jordan Raanan, the Giants are promoting OL Adam Gettis from their practice squad to the active roster.

  • Raanan mentions that Gettis’ addition brings added depth now that G Justin Pugh is expected to be out for at least two weeks with a knee injury.

Gettis, 27, is a former fifth-round pick by the Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in Washington before signing on with the Raiders’ practice squad. The Giants decided to sign Gettis off Oakland’s practice squad in December of last year.

New York later made him one of their final roster cuts as they trimmed down to the 53-man limit but added him to their practice squad after clearing waivers.

In 2015, Gettis appeared in one game for the Giants.
