Giants Sign CB Leon McFadden Off Cardinals’ Practice Squad

The New York Giants announced Wednesday that they’ve signed CB Leon McFadden off of the Cardinals’ practice squad.

• The Giants also signed TE Jerome Cunningham and OL Adam Gettis to their practice squad.
• OT Xavier Proctor was released from the practice squad to make room for the new additions.

McFadden, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2013. He lasted a little over a year with the Browns before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets.

McFadden briefly caught on with the 49ers, but was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. However, he later signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad at the start of the regular season.

Last year, McFadden appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded 20 tackles and a pass defense.
