Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports that the Giants have signed CB Tony Lippett to a contract and added S A.J. Howard to their practice squad on Thursday.

Lippett, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,494,764 contract and was set to earn a base salary of $705,000 this season when the Dolphins released him coming out of the preseason.
Lippett landed on the Dolphins’ injured reserve in August of last year due to a torn Achilles’ tendon and missed the entire 2017 season.
In 2016, Lippett appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 67 tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 80 cornerback out of 110 qualifying players.
