Giants Sign Former Raiders WR Juron Criner To Practice Squad

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Giants are signing former Raiders WR Juron Criner to their practice squad.

Criner was among a number of free agents who tried out for the Giants on Tuesday.

Criner, 24, was selected in the fifth round of the 2012 draft by the Raiders. He spent the first two years of his career with Oakland before he was among their final roster cuts a month ago.

During his rookie season, he appeared in 12 games and caught 16 passes for 151 yards receiving and a touchdown. However, his 2013 season was cut short when the Raiders placed Criner on season-ending injured reserve with an AC sprain in his right shoulder.
