Giants To Sign OT Laurence Gibson To Practice Squad

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Giants are expected to sign OT Laurence Gibson to their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Giants will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:

  1. LB Deontae Skinner
  2. WR Geremy Davis
  3. WR Darius Powe
  4. OL Adam Gettis
  5. OL Shane McDermott
  6. DE Stansly Maponga
  7. DE Ishaq Williams
  8. CB Donte Deayon
  9. CB Michael Hunter
  10. S Andrew Adams

Gibson worked out for the Bills on Monday and the Lions last week.

Gibson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cowboys back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Chiefs later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the year and brought him back on a future/reserve deal in January. However, he was unfortunately placed on waivers shortly after this year’s draft.

Gibson later signed on with the Falcons before he was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason. The Bears later signed him to their practice squad only to cut him loose soon after.

Gibson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
