Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports that the Giants are signing DT Austin Johnson to a contract on Thursday.
Johnson, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5.66 million contract in Tennessee.
Johnson was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2019, Johnson appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and recorded 23 tackles, no sacks and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 77 interior defensive lineman out of 114 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
