Giants Officially Cut 19 Players Including WR Geremy Davis

The New York Giants have begun the process of trimming their roster down to 53 players. Here’s the list of roster cuts up to this point:

  4. WR Geremy Davis
  5. WR Darius Powe
  6. WR Anthony Dable
  7. OL Dillon Farrell
  8. OL Ryan Seymour
  9. DT Louis Nix
  10. DE Stansly Maponga
  11. LB Brad Bars LB
  12. Ishaq Williams
  13. CB Leon McFadden
  14. CB Michael Hunter
  15. CB Donte Deayon
  16. S Justin Currie
  17. S Andrew Adams
  18. OL Emmett Cleary (Injured)
  19. OL Jake Rodgers (Injured)
  20. RB Andre Williams (Tom Pelissero)

Other roster moves include:

  • Josh Brown (Suspended List)
  • TE Will Johnson (Injured Reserve)

Davis, 24, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft by the Giants. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $2,407,084 contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, David appeared in 10 games and recorded two receptions for 21 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Dable, 27, played for the Germany-based team, the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions, in 2015 and helped them win their second straight league championship. He offers great size at 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds.

Over the past two years, Dable has recorded 145 receptions for close to 2,500 yards and 32 touchdowns for the Lions.
