Giants Waive QB Logan Thomas From Practice Squad, Re-Sign LB Deontae Skinner

The New York Giants announced Monday that they’ve waived QB Logan Thomas from their practice squad and re-signed LB Deontae Skinner to the unit.

It’s curious to see the Giants continue to swap these two players out from their practice squad in the past few weeks. Although some teams tend to make numerous moves involving the same players during the season, depending on their roster needs.

Thomas, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Arizona before he was waived and later claimed by the Dolphins.

Thomas is in the third yearย hisย four-year, $2,652,092 rookie contract when the Dolphins waived him back in June and he was later claimed by the Giants.

New York later cut Thomas a few weeks ago before adding him to their practice squad. Since then, he’s been on and off of their practice squad.

In 2014, Thomas appeared in two games for the Cardinals, even though they lost Carson Palmer and Stanton for the season. He threw for 81 yards and a touchdown, but completed just a single pass attempt.
