Giants Waive WR Andrew Turzilli From I.R. With Settlement, Cut DE Evan Schwan

The New York Giants officially waived DE Evan Schwan with an injury designation on Sunday. The Giants also waived WR Andrew Turzilli from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Turzilli, 25, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in May of 2015. He was waived at the start of the season but later signed on to the 49ers’ practice squad.

Tennessee later brought him back when they signed him off of the 49ers’ practice squad, but he was once again waived coming out of the preseason. The Lions signed him to their practice squad last December but cut him loose a few weeks after this year’s NFL draft.

The Giants signed him to a contract a few weeks ago before recently cutting him loose.

Turzilli previously served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

In 2015, Turzilli appeared in three games and recorded two receptions for 25 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.
